It is said that "Every Scout deserves a Trained Leader." Trained leaders provide a quality, fun-filled program for troops. When leaders understand Boy Scouting, they are more effective in their roles. In that respect, the Boy Scouts of America offers a wide variety of training opportunities.

To be considered a "Trained Leader" in a Boy Scout Troop, you need to complete the following training based on your position:

Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters
